Terms and Conditions of Business

1. Any waste contained in the skip becomes the absolute property of the Company on removal from the property of the customer.
2. Skips are deposited and left at the hirer’s risk. Damage to driveways, footpaths, water mains, manhole covers, telephone and electrical cables and all underground services will be the responsibility of the hirer.
3. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure the skip is left in a safe and secure position. If this is on or near a Public Highway, Private Road or Public right of way, it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that it is properly lighted at all times at night in accordance with highway and traffic regulations.
4. Lamps and Cones can be provided free of charge (see 3.b.)
5. In the event of any cone or lamp being damaged, stolen or otherwise destroyed the customer will reimburse the Company the sum of £5.00 per cone or lamp.
6. Skips should be level filled and a charge may occur if the skip is overfilled. Should the skip be overfilled, the Company reserve the right to remove waste material and level the waste to make the skip safe for removal and within weight limits for the vehicle. A charge may be made if a further skip is required to move the remainder of the waste.
7. Damage to skips will be charged on invoice. Skips should not be filled higher than its sides. Clay, soil and metal can make skips too heavy for legal limits.
8. Non-payment of accounts could result in similar materials being returned to and tipped onto the hirer’s property.
9. Permits from the Local Authority are required by law if the skip is to be left on the public highway or Public footpath. Ecoskips UK will be responsible for the acquisition of a permit and will add the cost to the customers account for payment on delivery of the skip.
10. Skip hire costs must be settled on delivery of the skip, unless otherwise arranged.
11. All skips are left for a maximum of 7 days, unless prior arrangement has been made. A charge may be levied for longer hire periods.
12. In the event of any proceedings being instigated against the Company as a result of a breach of these and conditions by the customer, the Company will be indemnified by the Customer in respect of any loss, expenses or costs incurred by the Company in connection with such proceedings
13. No fires are allowed in the skip

PLEASE SPEAK TO THE DRIVER IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS FOR REMOVAL AS ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE
